Perfect rice in 12 minutes with a 500ml mini rice cooker

Exact proportions
- Round rice: 1 cup (≈160 g)
- Water: 1.2 cups (≈285 ml)
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- A splash of oil with a spray bottle (optional)
Steps
- Wash the rice until the water runs almost clear.
- Put rice, water and salt into the mini rice cooker .
- Activate the cycle and do not open until it is finished.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes and aerate with a spatula.
Troubleshooting
- Sticky: reduce water by 10% or wash better.
- Hard: add 2–3 tablespoons of water and 2 min on “warm”.
