Exact proportions

  • Round rice: 1 cup (≈160 g)
  • Water: 1.2 cups (≈285 ml)
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • A splash of oil with a spray bottle (optional)

Steps

  1. Wash the rice until the water runs almost clear.
  2. Put rice, water and salt into the mini rice cooker .
  3. Activate the cycle and do not open until it is finished.
  4. Let it rest for 5 minutes and aerate with a spatula.

Troubleshooting

  • Sticky: reduce water by 10% or wash better.
  • Hard: add 2–3 tablespoons of water and 2 min on “warm”.
